Empowering Change Through the Power of Storytelling

Elle Steele is a dynamic speaker who shifts perspectives through her compelling storytelling. As an elite athlete, expert in neurolinguistics and a leader in integrative energy therapies, she empowers audiences to embrace their unique gifts and push past limits. Elle’s talks inspire self-belief, encouraging others to become their own source of inspiration and drive meaningful change.

Elle transforms Perspectives Through Her Story

Elle Steele is a keynote speaker who inspires audiences to rethink what’s possible.

Born with a congenital disability and having undergone over 35 surgeries, Elle learned early on that mindset can change everything. By rejecting stereotypes and embracing her own potential, she found that how she viewed herself could transform her reality.

At 11, Elle dove into swimming with the goal of competing in the 2000 Paralympics. By 17, she had not only achieved that dream but also collected medals and broken records. Her drive didn’t stop there—Elle became the first woman to play wheelchair rugby for Victoria and later captained Australian swimming teams, showcasing her natural leadership.

After retiring from 20 years in elite sports, Elle shifted her focus to neurolinguistics and energy therapies, discovering the powerful connection between language, mindset, and success. For the past 14 years, she’s been using her experience to empower others to unlock their own potential.

As a disability champion, Paralympic mentor, and most recently a leader in the national project to build more inclusive sports clubs across Australia, Elle brings a unique and powerful message to the stage: disability isn’t something to be ‘fixed’—it’s an integral part of our diverse world.

With countless stories of resilience and transformation, Elle captivates audiences, leaving them inspired and ready to embrace their own possibilities.

In Elle’s TEDx talk, she delves deep into how we perceive limitations—not just in ourselves, but in others as well. Through her insightful narrative, Elle challenges the conventional mindset with a powerful message: “I am not disabled because of my disability; I am disabled by a world that isn’t built for me.”

Her talk invites us to rethink societal barriers and encourages a shift in how we approach inclusivity and accessibility.
